My Voice Is a Bird

My hair is as long as a river

     and as smooth as a silk blanket.

My eyes are as cute as a kitten.

My ears are like a cut onion

     going in a salad.

My smile is as small as a button.

My voice can be

     like a singing bird in a tree

     or as loud as a wave.

When I play with my dog, Bella,

     my heart beats loud

     like a drumbeat of happiness.
