ALL-DISTRICT BOOKS:

Class Act Creative offers a very special program for elementary school districts, Project Arts RESPECT™, that culminates in a trade paperback, bookstore quality publication of student art and writing. We also offer the publication without program support under our Wise Words for the World™ imprint.

1. Project Arts RESPECT™: This literary and visual arts project, which includes two-day programs in each of five district schools, addresses themes of respect, kindness, integrity, empathy and peace-making. The project culminates in a trade quality book of student advice illustrated with black and white line drawings that can be sold in area schools and the greater community for district fund raising purposes.

THE GUIDING PRINCIPLES OF Arts RESPECT™

R - Taking responsibility for our own words and actions
E - Showing empathy for others’ disappointments and joys
S - Acknowledging both our strengths and our struggles
P - Finding peaceful solutions to conflicts
E - Offering encouragement to everyone around us
C - Showing compassion for those less fortunate than us
T - Showing tolerance for different points of view

The Project Arts RESPECT™ program includes the following for each of five district schools (two days per school):

2. Wise Words for the World™: Children should be seen and not heard? Not at Class Act Creative! We believe that when adults learn to listen well, children have important things to teach us. This publication is an all-district (or single-school) book that offers advice from students about how both children and adults can make the world a better place. Teachers are encouraged to address issues of respect, kindness, integrity, empathy, peacemaking, etc. in the classroom and help students write and illustrate their best advice for creating a better world.
