My Body Is Me

My hair is as jaggity as clouds.

My skin is the color of wheat

     flowing in the wind.

My eyes are as blue as paint

     and as round as a ball.

My ears are like almonds.

My smile is as creepy as a bat.

My laugh sounds like lungs

     that can’t breathe.

When I am hiking

     my heart is silent as a fish.
